Village Wisdom Project

Bi-weekly yoga, meditation and Tai-chi classes provided to the young ladies at no charge with mats and gear provided. 

Offering an incubator environment going from ideation, research and product development to establishment and execution. The ladies learn the importance of all phases and are offered the opportunity to both start their business and showcase their business at The Day of Play. 

Leadership training activities and opportunities to take the lead on individual projects within the organization. Identification of leadership styles, with resources to make those skills stronger. Also featuring cultural and historical exposure to female leaders.

Focus on local political practices; learning how local government works hand-on. Also working on ways to improve systemic inequalities within the community and learning the value of their local history. The young ladies will have a hand in creating sustainable programs for the community.

A diverse line-up of accomplished female speakers from the world of finance, entertainment, politics, culinary arts, science and technology. Also a special community elder program to give the girls insight into thier local history.

Community Back-to-School "field day" event featuring rotating game stations, give-a-ways, food, and a special row of vendors highlighting the young ladies from the business development program

From gardening to programming young ladies have an opportunity to explore, learn and apply scientific concepts through small projects and trips.
